The return of the biennial Hellenic Charity Ball\, after an absence in 2021 due to COVID-19\, will once again serve as a benefit event honoring highly distinguished Greek-Americans from the national arts and entertainment industry. This year’s honorees\, along with complete entertainment details\, will be announced in late September by Hellenic Charity Ball Co-Directors Frosene Phillips and Elizabeth Grillos. \nAnticipated to be a sold-out event\, this year’s Hellenic Charity Ballet\, the 13th since its inception in 1997\, will be hosted by popular television\, prolific author and Broadway star\, Marilu Henner. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a lavish cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception\, and will include a silent auction of one-of-a-kind sporting\, travel and leisure\, and entertainment opportunities. Beginning at 7 p.m.\, an elegant dinner and lively awards show with this year’s honorees will follow. Live dinner music\, both during and after\, will surely stir everyone’s Greek souls and prompt some enthusiastic dancing. Opa! \nSpecial to the evening\, celebrity auctioneer Liam Mayclem will take to the stage to tempt guests to express their financial support for the Elios Charitable Foundation’s notable recipients. \nAt the heart of the not-for-profit Elios Charitable Foundation\, the group’s mission is to preserve and foster the values of Hellenic culture.
