Camp Saint Paul Celebrates 20th year

NEW YORK – GNUSA

Camp St. Paul celebrates its 20th anniversary as the camping youth ministry of the Direct Archdiocesan District. At the picturesque campsite next to Lake Bantam, the largest lake Connecticut, the 185 campers of Session 2, together with their counselors, the over sixty -five staff members and counselors of the Camp, led by Director Fr. Elias Villis, welcomed on July 1 His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros with love and enthusiasm and eagerly gathered around him to take his blessing.

The Archbishop enjoyed the company of the children, joined in meals and offered his paternal blessings to all. Over five weeks, Camp Saint Paul will reach 700 campers with the help and dedication of 130 young adult staff.

This time of the year, youth camps in every Metropolis throughout the Archdiocese host thousands of kids in several sessions taking place from June to August.
