U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed Gabriel Boric Font, President of the Republic of Chile, at the U.N. Headquarters in New York, on September 25, on the margins of the 80th U.N. General Assembly.
According to the U.N., the Secretary-General and the President Boric addressed the challenges facing peace, democracy, the rule of law and human rights in the world. They also discussed Chile’s commitment to conserving biodiversity beyond areas of national jurisdiction and emphasized the need to strengthen multilateralism at a time of increasing tensions and conflicts.
