WASHINGTON, DC –
The American Hellenic Institute (AHI) congratulates Ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle on her confirmation by the U.S. Senate to serve as the next U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic.
“AHI warmly welcomes Ambassador Guilfoyle’s appointment and extends our best wishes as she assumes this important diplomatic post”, President Nick Larigakis said. “The U.S.–Greece relationship is stronger than ever, built on shared democratic values and vital cooperation in defense, energy, and regional security”.
Since its founding in 1974, AHI has engaged closely with successive U.S. ambassadors in Athens to strengthen bilateral ties and advance policies that support peace, stability, and prosperity in the Eastern Mediterranean.
“We are proud of the constructive relationships we have built with Ambassador Guilfoyle’s predecessors”, Larigakis added. “We look forward to working with her in the same spirit to further enhance the U.S.–Greece partnership”.
As AHI notes in a press release, “Ambassador Guilfoyle takes up her post at a pivotal moment as Greece plays an increasingly important role in NATO, energy diversification, and transatlantic cooperation. AHI remains committed to supporting her efforts and to advancing the interests of the United States in the Eastern Mediterranean”.
