WASHINGTON, DC –
The new Ambassador of Greece to the United States, Antonis Alexandridis, presented copies of his credentials to the Chief of Protocol of the United States, Ambassador Monica Crowley, on Friday, January 16.
Ambassador Alexandridis succeeds Ambassador Aikaterini Nasika who returned to Athens to join Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ diplomatic office.
He began his diplomatic career in 1997 and has held various posts both within the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and abroad. Before assuming his duties in Washington, he served as the Hellenic Republic’s Ambassador to France, the United Arab Emirates, and the Philippines.
Born in Volos, Greece, on September 15, 1969, Ambassador Alexandridis holds a Law Degree from the University of Athens and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the Faculty of Law at the University of Cambridge. He speaks Greek, English, French, Spanish, and Italian.
