The St. Thomas Hellenic School PTO (Parents Teacher Organization) held the 30th Nisiotiko Glendi, its largest fundraiser of the year, on February 7.
The parish’s Daniel Kousoulis Cultural Center was filled to capacity with Greek school students, their parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and Greek school alumni and supporters.

The evening commenced with the blessing by Fr. Georgios Oikonomou followed by greetings from the PTO President Effie Bitsikas-Maltabes, Principal Margarita Vrettos, and Parish Council Vice President Dr. Elias Iliadis.
Greek school students performed dances from various regions of Greece under the instruction of their dance teacher Mrs. Gavras. The highlight of the dance performances was the graduating class performance of the Zorba the Greek syrtaki.

Guests enjoyed Greek cold and hot pikilia dinner selections and desserts by Adelphia catering, proudly owned and operated by St. Thomas’ longstanding benefactors, the Balis Family. Everyone danced the night away with the Sergiani band and DJ Maki.
