NEW YORK, NY –
The Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York presents “Bridging Revolutions,” a unique cultural, historical, and musical multimedia experience honoring the shared ideals of freedom and democracy that unite Greece and the United States.
Taking place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stathakion Cultural Center (22-51 29th Street, Astoria, NY 11105), this special event commemorates two historic milestones: the 250th anniversary of American liberty and the 205th anniversary of Greek independence.
This immersive program will offer a bilingual journey through history, highlighting the parallels between the American Revolution and the Greek War of Independence. Through storytelling, music, and visual presentation, attendees will gain a deeper appreciation of the enduring values of liberty, resilience, and cultural identity.
The program will be guided by distinguished content curators Constantinos Hatzidimitriou and Evangelos Athanasopoulos, whose expertise brings historical narratives vividly to life.
Renowned musician Grigoris Maninakis will lead the musical storytelling experience, joined by vocalists Aggeliki Psoni and Nikitas Tampakis, along with instrumentalists Glafkos Kontemeniotis, Kostas Psarros, Lefteris Bournias, and Erikos Vlesmas. Together, they will create a dynamic and emotionally resonant performance that bridges past and present.
Following the program, guests are invited to a reception featuring hors d’oeuvres, wine, and an opportunity to socialize with fellow attendees and community members.
Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend this inspiring celebration of shared heritage and democratic ideals.
This event is sponsored by the 2026 Parade Committee.
