Concert in Honor of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew’s Feast Day, June 10

NEW YORK, NY-

The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will present a special concert entitled “Sounds of Constantinople” on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Holy Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church in Brookville, New York, in honor of the Name Day of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

This is undertaken with the blessing and at the initiative of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America, reflecting the Archdiocese’s continued commitment to strengthening and supporting the missionary witness of the Ecumenical Patriarchate throughout the world. The evening will also serve as an opportunity to support and bring awareness to the sacred missionary work of the Holy Metropolis of New Zealand under the pastoral leadership of His Eminence Metropolitan Myron of New Zealand, who will be present for the evening.

The concert will feature Romanos the Melodist Chanters Society of Greater New York under the direction of Dr. Demetrios Kehagias. Through sacred and traditional hymnology and transitional music rooted in the rich ecclesiastical and cultural heritage of Constantinople, the program will offer attendees an evening of reflection, beauty, and spiritual inspiration in honor of the Ecumenical Patriarch, whose ministry continues to bear witness to the enduring spiritual legacy of the Great Church of Christ throughout the world.

This special gathering seeks not only to honor the person and ministry of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on the occasion of his feast day, but also to strengthen awareness and support for the missionary ministries of the Church in New Zealand and Oceania, where the Orthodox faith continues to grow and flourish through the dedicated pastoral and philanthropic efforts of Metropolitan Myron and his clergy.
