“So, for it to come to fruition and for it to come to Broadway finally is a blessing and an honor. We are very happy to be here”, he noted.
On his Greek heritage, Rousouli remarked, “I am Greek… what else can I tell you? It’s like ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ when you go back home to New Jersey. My mother is from Kalamata and my father is from Kastoria, which is another small village in Macedonia. So, that’s my Greek heritage right there.”
Rousouli shared his thoughts on the Greek-American community here in the United States. “The Greek-American community is huge”, he admitted.
“I grew up doing all of the Greek culture things… I did Greek dancing professionally here in New York City… from Queens to performing all over the place. It’s a huge Greek community. I am so honored to be a part of the Greek-American community”, he elaborated.
Rousouli took his “Titanique” co-star Marla Mindelle to Mykonos, Greece. “It was amazing! I had to take her to see the Greeks. We had a blast. How can you not love Mykonos? It’s the best place in the world”, he exclaimed.
On the greatest lesson that “Titanique” has taught him, Rousouli revealed, “Patience”. “It has really taught me that patience is a virtue”, he said.
On the title of the current chapter of his life, Rousouli revealed, “Taking a Breath and being in the Moment”.
Simply put, his life chapter at the moment is about mindfulness.
Regarding his definition of the word success, Rousouli remarked, “Success means following your dreams, being grounded, having friends and family to support you around it. Happiness is the ultimate goal. I mean that’s success”.
For fans and viewers, Rousouli expressed, I just want people to go and have the best time of their lives”.
“I want them to come in, forger about the world for 90 minutes straight, and just laugh and be with other humans, and have human connections again”, he acknowledged.
“It’s all about joy and humor, so why can’t we spread the love”, he concluded.
