Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the headquarters of Nvidia and Sequoia Capital in California’s Silicon Valley on September 21, holding meetings with senior executives and leading technology researchers.
At Nvidia, Mitsotakis met with John Josephakis, Global Vice President of Sales and Business Development for HPC/Supercomputing, and other senior executives, to discuss major investments in digital and computing infrastructure currently underway in Greece.
The discussion also focused on how Nvidia’s technology and ecosystem support startups, governments and major tech companies in developing and deploying artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
The prime minister toured Nvidia’s research centre, where some of the world’s most advanced semiconductors and computing systems are designed.
Nvidia is one of the world’s largest technology companies and a central player in the global development of AI, as its processors and computing platforms provide essential infrastructure for training and running cutting‑edge AI models.
At Sequoia Capital, the meeting was hosted by partners Konstantine Buhler and Doug Leone. It brought together leading investors, researchers from major technology companies and laboratories, as well as founders and executives of companies at the forefront of AI applications in fields such as medicine, education, automation and robotics.
