AIA: 2024 record year in passenger traffic and profits

Athens International Airport’s net profits increased by 4.4 million euros or 1.9% in 2024 and amounted to 235.9 million euros, compared to 231.5 million euros in 2023.

According to the announcement, the airport’s management proposes the distribution of 100% of the net profit of the fiscal year 2024, which corresponds to a gross dividend of approximately 0.78 euros/share.

In detail:

In 2024, AIA recorded total revenues of 665.5 million euros, showing an increase of 10.2% compared to 603.7 million euros in 2023. This increase is attributed to the increase in passenger traffic by 13.1%, as well as the strengthening of both aviation and non-aviation activities.

Adjusted EBITDA amounted to 424.8 million euros, up 15.7% compared to the previous year, while the EBITDA margin reached 63.8%. At the same time, net profit after tax increased by 1.9% to 235.9 million compared to 231.5 million euros in 2023. AIA maintains a healthy financial position, with net debt of 623.1 million euros and net debt to EBITDA ratio of 1.5x.

“We are pleased to present the company’s results, which demonstrate another dynamic year for Athens International Airport, with passenger traffic recording an increase of 13% and reaching the historical record of 31.9 million passengers,” CEO of AIA, Ioannis Paraschis, emphasized.
