WESTFIELD, NJ –
Holy Trinity parish in Westfield, NJ hosted its 50th Annual “Sights and Sounds” Festival on March 5, bringing together almost 370 GOYAns from 16 parishes throughout New Jersey for a day of exhibition and recognition of their many talents in the visual arts, dance, musical and theatrical performances.
Attending this beautiful event was His Grace Bishop Apostolos of Medeia, the Archepiscopal Vicar of NJ, who was surprised by the talent of the children and their love for their Greek heritage and culture.

The festival was established 50 years ago at the initiative of Lou and Kiki Anderson and under the guidance of Fr. Alexander G. Leondis. The participating children, aged 12-18, prepare for months and the over 80 volunteers from the parish along with the 25-30 other host committee members who run the event, begin planning a year in advance.
Host committee co-chairs were Panagiotis and Alexandra Boutsikaris.
Participating parishes were St. George Clifton, Ascension Fairview, St. Anna Flemington, Kimisis Holmdel, St. George Ocean, St. Demetrios Perth Amboy, St. George Piscataway, St. Andrew Randolph, Sts Constantine & Helen Roseland, Cathedral of St. John the Theologian Tenafly, St. Barbara Toms River, St. George Trenton, St. Demetrios Union, Holy Trinity Westfield, St. Nicholas Wyckoff.
