Archbishop Nikitas Meets the U.S. Ambassador to Greece in Athens

During his recent visit to Athens, His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain met with the United States Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Her Excellency Kimberly Guilfoyle.

The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere and provided an opportunity to discuss matters of mutual interest, including religious freedom, the ministry of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and the enduring relationship between the United States and the Orthodox Christian world.

His Eminence and Her Excellency also exchanged views on the important role of religious communities in promoting dialogue, understanding, and cooperation within contemporary society. Particular reference was made to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and its contribution to inter-Christian and international engagement.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Her Excellency presented Archbishop Nikitas with a commemorative gift as a token of friendship and goodwill.
