ATHENS-
Arrivals in tourist accommodation establishments in December 2024 amounted to 940,660 and nights spent amounted to 2,213,065, recording an increase of 3.0% in arrivals and 3.6% in nights spent when compared to the corresponding month of 2023, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) announced on February 19.
In specific, in December 2024 compared with the corresponding month of 2023, an increase of 6.5% was observed in arrivals and of 5.9% in nights spent for non-residents, while an increase of 1.5% in arrivals and of 2.4% in nights spent was observed for residents.
The highest contribution in arrivals and in nights spent for the total of tourist accommodation establishments was observed for residents with 68.1% and 64.3% accordingly. The average length of stay for all types of tourist accommodation establishments during December 2024, amounted to 2.4 day.
