Athenians’ and Arcadians’ Societies Host Event Dec. 10

The Athenians’ Society of New York along with the Arcadian Society of New York ‘Geros tou Morea’ and in cooperation with the Academy of Hellenic Paideia and the Mikrokosmos Ensemble present a Musical Tribute to Nikos Gatsos honoring the 44th and 60th anniversaries of the Nobel Prizes awarded to Odysseas Elytis and George Seferis, respectively.

The event will take place on Sunday, December 10, at 5 pm, at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity’s Chiotes Hall, [337 East 74th Street, NYC] in Manhattan.

The event features vocalist Grigoris Maninakis with guest vocalist Elena Christou, accompanied by distinguished musicians Glafkos Kontemeniotis [piano], Kostas Psarros [bouzouki & vocals], Lefteris Bournias [clarinet], Aggelos Papadatos [bass], Steve Vavagiakis [drums], and the Children’s Choir of the Academy of Hellenic Paideia.

Guest performers are pianist Athena Adamopoulos and vocalist Nikitas Tampakis.

Donation: $40, students: $30.
