Greek Heritage Month was celebrated once again this year by the Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, in cooperation with the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, on March 28, at St. Peter the Apostle Greek Orthodox Church.

Mark Marneris, Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer at Ponce Bank; Constadino Sirakis, P.E., First Deputy Commissioner, New York City Department of Buildings; Steve Tenedios, Restauranteur and Entrepreneur; John Kambouris, Business Owner; and Heleni Trihas, Occupational Therapist [Youth Honoree] were this year’s honorees.

Eleftheria Ardizzone, NYC Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner for the Borough of Bronx, was the memorable event’s emcee.

The program also included Greek dancing and songs performed by students of the Evdoxia Levesanos Greek Afternoon School at St. Peter the Apostle.

“We’re coming together to honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of the Greek community in the Bronx and beyond. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, community members, and everyone who joined us in honoring Greek culture, history, and contributions. Congratulations to this year’s incredible honorees for their dedication and impact”, posted Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson on social media.
