Greek American Educational Public Information System Inc. (GAEPIS) and Hellenic Public Radio- Cosmos FM announced that this year’s 30th Phidippides Award Gala honoring Ambassador George J. Tsunis will take place Wednesday, April 9, at the Union League Club in New York City. Further details to follow.
“Tsunis is a distinguished philanthropist, attorney and businessman who recently served as the United States Ambassador to Greece. Throughout his multifaceted career, Hellenism as his guiding force. He has significantly supported Greece, his beloved Nafpaktos (Platanos), and the global Greek community in the United States and elsewhere. An Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and a member of Leadership 100, Ambassador Tsunis is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards” reads an announcement by GAEPIS adding that “GAEPIS and Cosmos FM are proud to honor him with the 30th Phidippides Award for his unwavering advocacy of Hellenism over the years”.
