Dendias’ visit to Washington: Focus on Greek-US defense cooperation

WASHINGTON (ANA-MPA/P. Kasfikis) –

National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias focused on the strategic nature of defense cooperation between Greece and the United States, at a roundtable discussion within the framework of the Delphi Forum in Washington on February 2.

Dendias arrived in the US capital earlier that day, where he is to have a series of political meetings.

During the discussion with the CEO of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Dr. Leslie Vinjamuri, the minister referred, among other things, to issues concerning the European security architecture, as well as regional and international developments.

He also held successive meetings with the executive director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), Ted Deutsch, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Constantinos Kompos, as well as with the president of the Jewish Institute for National Security of America (JINSA).
