NEW YORK, NY –
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Kotsiras, is expected today to the U.S. for a visit that includes stops in New York, Philadelphia and Boston, in order to promote scientific diplomacy and connect the Greek scientific diaspora.
More specifically, he will visit Greek studies chairs and programs at Yale, Harvard, Brown and Boston Universities. He will also attend an event organized by the Hellenic Innovation Network (HIN), have a series of meetings with Greek-American academics, researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals and visit the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
During his stay, the Deputy Minister will meet with representatives from Diaspora associations as well as ecclesiastical and academic institutions, with whom he will have an exchange of views on issues related to Greeks Abroad, in light of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Strategic Plan for Greeks Abroad 2024-2027, which was recently presented at a special event hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
