Arrivals in tourist accommodation establishments [hotels, camping sites, rental rooms] amounted to 742,865 and nights spent amounted to 1,656,673, recording an increase of 3.6% in arrivals and 2.7% in nights spent during January 2025, when compared to the corresponding month of 2024, according to provisional data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority on March 20.
In specific, in January 2025 compared with the corresponding month of 2024, an increase of 6.3% was observed in arrivals and of 5.1% in nights spent for non-residents, while an increase of 2.4% in arrivals and of 1.3% in nights spent was observed for residents.
The highest contribution in arrivals and in nights spent for the total of tourist accommodation establishments was observed for residents with 67.0% and 63.3% accordingly. The average length of stay for all types of tourist accommodation establishments during January 2025, amounted to 2.2 days
