NEW YORK, NY –
The Federation of Cypriot American Organizations (FCAO), in cooperation with the International Coordinating Committee Justice for Cyprus (PSEKA) and other prominent organizations, will hold a Memorial Service in a joint effort to commemorate the 50th Dark Anniversary of the illegal Turkish invasion and occupation of Cyprus.
The Memorial Service officiated by H.E. Archbishop Elpidophoros of America will take place on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, at St. Nicholas Shrine, 130 Liberty St, New York, NY 10006.
The solemn anniversary will also be palpable with a peaceful candlelight vigil from St. Nicholas Shrine to 60 Pine Street (following the Memorial Service at 12:15 p.m.).
The Memorial Program at 60 Pine Street includes remarks from U.S. Representatives and a compelling photo exhibit recounting the devastation of 1974, with exclusive photographs provided by the Cyprus Press and Information Office.
