NEW YORK, NY –
The Officers and Directors of HABA announced the results of their annual elections which were held on September 25.
Chris Thomas [Simon Quick Advisors LLC] was re-elected President. Joining him are James P. Gerkis, [Proskauer Rose LLP], Vice President, Costas Kellas, [Objecutive, Inc.], Treasurer and Panagiota Mahendru, [Low Income Investment Fund], Secretary. The following Directors were elected for 2-year terms: Alexandros Papadopoulos, [Papadopoulos Group] Inc and Robert Savage, [BNY Mellon]
HABA also announced the appointments of Catherine Gerkis, [The Gladstone Companies], and Christina Yialamas Sanchez, [J.P. Morgan Private Bank], who are filling recently vacated Director positions for 1-year terms.
Additionally, they welcome their new Young Professionals Group (YPG) committee: Stefanos Crist, Needham & Co., Arthur Darby, Citi Personal Wealth Management (Citigroup), and Demetrios Skoumbakis, Cushman and Wakefield.
The Officers and Directors of HABA expressed their appreciation to Alexia Kalfas for her service to HABA as Vice President this past year, Loukas Tasigiannis for his contributions as a Director and YPG committee member, and Gina Valliades for her work with HABA’s YPG, as well as, all the members for their participation and continued support, reminding them that the organization’s first Fall event is scheduled for October 2.
HABA is a not-for-profit organization established in 1982 to promote the professional and educational interest of Greek-Americans, Cypriots, and Phil-Hellenes in the banking and finance industries.
