The Panarcadian Federation of Greece visited the headquarters of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in Perissos on Sunday and sang carols in the Tsakonian dialect for KKE Central Committee General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoumbas, as well as performing traditional Arcadian dances and exchanging gifts.
Koutsoumbas thanked them and wished them a happy Christmas, presenting the federation’s president with a volume published by KKE’s history department and a 2024 calendar to members of the group.
“Today is a period …in which our people, as we all know, are suffering from the very high prices, poverty, low incomes and the great tax robbery through direct and indirect taxation, foreclosures of primary residences and business premises, the downgrading and commercialization of health, our children’s education, from our country’s participation in NATO plans and wars in the region. For all these things, the KKE is here, present, making a great effort to chart a course, a different course for another way out…” he said.
