LOMBARD, IL –
The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago announced on March 17, on the anniversary of His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael’s ordination to the episcopacy, that it has closed on the purchase of 1290 North Clybourn Avenue in Chicago.
Located in the heart of Chicago, the property will serve as the permanent location for the Metropolis Offices.
The acquisition follows approvals from the Metropolis Council, the delegates of the 2025 Clergy-Laity Assembly, and the Executive Committee of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, concluding a multi-year strategic effort to secure a permanent location that reflects the needs, growth, and mission of the Metropolis of Chicago.
“I express my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated clergy and laity of the Holy Metropolis of Chicago for their unwavering support and trust during this period”, said His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael. “As we resume our operations in the City of Chicago, we are invigorated in our commitment to serve Christ and all those entrusted to our care throughout the city”.
According to the announcement, details concerning the relocation timeline and the date of the formal blessing and dedication of the new offices will be announced in the coming weeks.
