Hellenic Parliament President Nikitas Kaklamanis met on Monday [2/10] with US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Maria Olson.
During the meeting, Kaklamanis expressed his satisfaction over the deepening of the Greek-US relations that have reached the highest level ever recorded, underlining that Greece maintains a strong strategic partnership with the US and a long history of cooperation in several sectors.
On her part, Olson wished Kaklamanis success in his new duties and underlined that Greece-US cooperation is of strategic importance, describing Greece as a reliable ally with a strategic and stabilising role in the region, while expressed her desire to further strengthen this cooperation during Kaklamanis’ tenure.
