The Order of AHEPA will hold its 104th Annual Supreme Convention in Philadelphia from July 26 to 31, 2026, with closing events scheduled for Saturday, August 1. The gathering will take place at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown, located at 201 North 17th Street.
The AHEPA Family Supreme Convention will once again unite members of AHEPA, the Daughters of Penelope, the Sons of Pericles, and the Maids of Athena for a full week of deliberations, celebrations, and cultural programming. This year’s convention coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States, with several events planned at historic Philadelphia landmarks.
According to the organization, this milestone not only brings AHEPA to the historic city of Philadelphia for a onceinalifetime celebration, but also serves as a tribute to the spirit of American freedom and excellence.
Activities begin on Sunday, July 26, featuring the AHEPA Cooley’s Anemia Walk at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, followed by a Founding Day celebration at Uptown Beer Garden. On July 27, attendees will participate in the AHEPA Family Opening Ceremonies and an American Bandstandthemed party.
Convention business sessions officially open on July 28, concurrently with the Daughters of Penelope. That evening, delegates will gather at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for the America the Beautiful Reception.
On July 29, the schedule includes the AHEPA District Governor’s Conference, the Service Dogs for Warriors presentation, the AHEPA Family Athletic Luncheon, and the Hellenic Cultural Commission’s Parthenon Moot Court Presentation. The day concludes with AHEPA Celebrates AMERICA 250, held at Liberty Center Independence Hallwhere AHEPA will honor Dr. Elias Anthony Iliadis, a preeminent cardiologist and lifelong Ahepan, with the AHEPA Hellenism Award for his lifelong contributions to Hellenism.
On July 30, delegates may take part in the AHEPA Convention City Golf Tournament, the AHEPA Family Awards Brunch, and the Daughters of Penelope Salute to Women honoring Dody Tsiantar, journalist, professor, and photographer, with the 2026 Salute to Women Award.
The evening’s highlight is a Greek Night Dance aboard the Battleship New Jersey. During this event, Major Carl Hollister (Ret. U.S. Army) and Colonel Nicholas P. Vamvakias (Ret. U.S. Army) will be honored for their military service with the Military Service Award, one of AHEPA’s premier distinctions, recognizing extraordinary contributions made to the United States by members of the armed forces.
The Hellenic History Tournament, final voting for AHEPA delegates, the Daughters of Penelope Foundation Symposium, and the Grand Banquet and Ball—one of the convention’s signature events—are all scheduled for July 31.
AHEPA Grand Banquet Honorees
Pantelis Boubouras will be honored with the AHEPA Defender of Hellenism Award for his extraordinary efforts in defending Hellenism in Ukraine. Born on the island of Limnos, he became a highly successful developer in Ukraine. “His love of Hellenism knows no bounds. He redeveloped the famed Greek Square in Odessa and the historic home of the Filiki Eteria, forever cementing the relationship between Greece and Ukraine,” an AHEPA announcement reads, noting that he is sponsor of the AHEPA Ukraine Chapter and Honorary Consul of the Hellenic Republic in Kherson.
AHEPA will bestow the AHEPA Academy of Achievement Award in Business upon Pete Pahides and will also honor his father, the late Gus P. Pahides, with a posthumous and longoverdue recognition with the same award.
Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, National Commander of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, has been named the 2026 recipient of the AHEPA Archbishop Iakovos Humanitarian Award, which recognizes individuals who dedicate themselves to advancing human and civil rights and religious freedoms for people suffering under tyranny and oppression.
The closing day, Saturday, August 1, includes youth awards, installation of officers, and an America 250 Years Celebration Dance Party, marking the conclusion of the weeklong program.
