AHEPA Supreme President E. Chris Kaitson was presented with a proclamation on July 28 by Philadelphia City Councilmember Jim Harrity in honor of AHEPA’s ongoing efforts for the community. The presentation was made during the ‘America the Beautiful’ reception at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
“I was proud to present a City Council Citation recognizing AHEPA’s more than 100 years of leadership, service, philanthropy, and unwavering commitment to education and civic engagement”, noted Harrity, adding that “Organizations like AHEPA continue to strengthen our communities while preserving the rich traditions and values that inspire future generations”.
The Supreme President was introduced by event chairman John Vasiliou, President of the Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley.
President Kaitson accepted the proclamation and thanked all of the members and committees who made this historic 104th AHEPA Supreme Convention possible.
Greek-American Pennsylvania State Senator Maria Tzanakis -Collett presented AHEPA Supreme President Kaitson with a Pennsylvania Senate Certificate of Recognition honoring AHEPA’s 104th anniversary.
