ATLANTA, GA
His Eminence Metropolitan Sevastianos of Atlanta shared a warm and pastoral Christmas message this year, encouraging the faithful to find strength, peace, and hope in the Incarnation of Christ.
His message is as follows:
My dear Brothers and Sisters in the Incarnate Lord,
I greet you with joy as we celebrate the Incarnation of our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ!
In the midst of life’s many uncertainties—whether we think of our relationships, our health, or practical matters such as finances, Christ comes to us, now as He did in Bethlehem, to offer us His love and encouragement. What an uplifting thought: that God Himself choses to become man, all to make us inheritors of His Kingdom, which has no end. All that is required of us is that we open our hearts, minds and lives to receive all the blessings He has in store for us.
The message of the Angels, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will among men!” is still relevant, and still brings us feelings of hope and love, even as it did over two-thousand years ago. My fervent prayer is that we all continue to strengthen our relationship to Him and to His Church, the Body of Christ so that we may walk in the path of salvation, and the hope of life eternal.
May He continue to strengthen our Holy and God-Protected Metropolis of Atlanta, and offer His manifold blessings to us all throughout this bright season,
Yours with paternal love and joy in the Incarnate Lord,
+SEVASTIANOS
Metropolitan of Atlanta
