Hellenic Federation of NJ Presents ‘Unconquered Spirit: Greece’s Pivotal Role in WWII’, Oct. 30

PARAMUS, NJ –

The Hellenic Federation of New Jersey presents ‘The Unconquered Spirit: Greece’s Pivotal Role in World War II’ on Friday, October 30, 7-9 PM, at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 51 Paramus Road in Paramus.

The event is an immersive multimedia, cultural, musical, and educational evening, dedicated to a pivotal chapter in modern Greek history. The audience will experience the resilience, strategy, and profound sacrifices of the Greek nation during World War II, with the opportunity to share feedback in real time. The event highlights the journey from Greece’s entry into the conflict and the heroic defense at the Metaxas Line, through the successful counteroffensive against the Italian invasion, to the unyielding spirit of resistance during the triple occupation.

The guides through history for the evening will be Dr. Evangelos Athanasopoulos and Dr. Peter Stavrianidis who will utilize interactive multi-media presentations interwoven with the vocals of Grigoris Maninakis, joined by guest singers Aggeliki Psoni and Nikitas Tambakis, accompanied by Glafkos Kontemeniotis on piano and Kostas Psarros on bouzouki to create a stirring musical tribute. This homage to the collective heroism of the Hellenic world is a celebration of the enduring power of unity in the face of adversity.

Admission is free, but seating is limited, and please arrive on time. Light refreshments will be offered. RSVP by phone: 201-368-8881.
