HRF Holds Concert Fundraiser in Roseland, NJ

ROSELAND, NJ –

The Hellenic Relief Foundation (HRF) held a heartwarming concert on Saturday, February 24th 2024. The event, hosted by the Greek Orthodox Church of Sts. Nicholas, Constantine and Helen in Roseland, New Jersey, was a resounding success, drawing a crowd of approximately 250 attendees and it marked the 12th anniversary since the H.R.F.’s first food distribution on February 25th, 2012.

The evening featured the captivating vocals of Aggeliki Psoni and the energetic melodies of the Sergiani Greek Music Band. The audience was treated to a delightful performance, leaving them feeling uplifted and inspired. During the intermission, guests enjoyed a delicious selection of wine, beer, and appetizers, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

This special event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors who covered all expenses, meaning all proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go directly towards the purchase and distribution of food for families in Greece.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made this event possible,” said Dr. Efthymios Daniskas, a member of the Sts. Nicholas, Constantine and Helen community. “The sponsors, donors, and attendees all played a crucial role in its success. Thanks to their generosity, approximately 480 families will receive food for their Greek Easter table this year.”

Stelios Taketzis discussed the initial distribution that took place 12 years ago and presented a video captured by Anthony Zachariadis during the December 2023 Christmas food delivery event. The Hellenic Relief Foundation’s dedication to serving those in need continues to inspire and unite communities.

This successful concert serves as a testament to the power of collective action and the enduring spirit of compassion.
