Lecture on Kazantzakis and Borges by Dr. Christina Tsardikos in New York

Dr. Christina Tsardikos, a distinguished author and physician surgeon living in Argentina, with roots from Tripoli and Levidi, Arcadia, will be the guest of honor at a cultural event co-hosted by the Arcadian Association “Geros Tou Morea” of New York, the Hellenic American Project of Queens College and the New York Chapter of the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis on Wednesday, June 4 at 6:30 pm at the Arcadian House (27-02 39 Ave, LIC, NY 11101).

Dr. Tsardikos will speak on the topic of “Kazantzakis and Borges: two people, one labyrinth”.

She will be introduced by Dr. Nikos Alexiou, head of the Hellenic American Project, and Manolis Velivasakis, President of the New York Chapter of the Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis and former President of the Pan-Cretan Association of America. 

Greetings will be delivered by the President of “Geros tou Morea” John Tampakis and the President of the Pan-Arcadian Federation of America, Angeliki Vournas.

A wine & cheese reception will follow.

Dr. Christina Tsardikos is a General Surgeon and Plastic Surgeon, Professor of Biomedical Physics and Surgery at state and private universities in Argentina with significant activity for the promotion of Greek Culture and the Greek Language. She is the founder and president of the Greek Cultural Organization Nostos, Coordinator for Latin America of the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis and Vice President of the Union of Greek Writers and Authors of the Five Continents E.E.L.S.P.I.
