Metropolis of New Jersey Holds Fall Metropolis Council Meeting

Westfield, NJ –

The Fall Meeting of the Metropolis of New Jersey Council, the first chaired by the newly enthroned Metropolitan Apostolos of NJ, was held on November 6 at the St. Thomas parish in Cherry Hill, NJ.

The meetings began with the Affirmation of Office administered by Metropolitan Apostolos to the recently appointed members of the Metropolis Council.

In his Archpastoral Address, His Eminence laid out his vision for the sacred Metropolis of New Jersey, with a renewed focus on the many youth ministries and programs, the continuing education of the Clergy, the improvement of the Religious Education ministry, and the importance of the Greek Language programs.

 In addition, His Eminence announced the creation of a new major event in the Metropolis, the “Walking With Christ” Luncheon, with the majority of proceeds being dedicated to the Seminarians, the future clergy of the sacred Metropolis of New Jersey.

Throughout the day the Council worked to review the previous year financial statements, approve the budget for the Metropolis for 2024, as well as heard reports from the various Metropolis Council committees including Youth, Finance, Communication and Fundraising.

His Eminence concluded the meeting by offering his gratitude to the members for their love, dedication, and commitment to the Church and to the sacred Metropolis of New Jersey.
