Metropolitan Methodios of Boston made his annual pastoral visit to the Assumption Church in Ipswich, on February 1, where he presided at the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, concelebrated with Fr. Christopher Kolentsas.
The visit coincided with the celebration of Godparent Sunday.
In his homily, His Eminence spoke about repentance and the proper spiritual approach to the Triodion period, calling the faithful to prepare their hearts with humility, prayer, and renewed commitment as they journey toward Great Lent.
Following the Liturgy, parishioners gathered for a reception, where many had the opportunity to greet His Eminence, express their gratitude, and receive his blessing.
