Saint Demetrios Greek School in Upper Darby honored the national anniversary of October 28th with a beautiful celebration filled with great emotion, pride, and love for Greece, on Sunday, November 1st.
The students paid tribute to the heroes of 1940 through poems, songs, and commemorative presentations, demonstrating that the Greek language, history, and traditions remain alive in the hearts of younger generations.
“For all of us who live far from our homeland, such moments serve as a precious reminder of our responsibility to pass on our Greek heritage, values, and national ideals to our children”, said Greek School Principal Maria Mirtsopoulou.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teachers for their commitment, our parents for their continuous support, the Parents and Teachers Association for its valuable contributions, the Philoptochos Society, and our community for their unwavering support of our school’s mission”.
