ASTORIA, NY –
The Greek American Educational Public Information System, Inc. (G.A.E.P.I.S.) and its media outlet COSMOS FM, in cooperation with the Region of Crete, present the acclaimed theatrical group ODIPOROS (ΩΔΗπόρος) in a musical theater performance titled “Ach, I Xenitia” («Αχ, η ξενιτιά») on Friday, December 12, at 7:30 PM at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center.
This musical production is a heartfelt ode to the Hellenic immigrant journey, tracing the emotional and cultural odyssey of Greeks abroad from the early 1900s to the present day. Featuring 33 beloved songs, authentic video footage, and a moving theatrical script, “Ach, I Xenitia” brings to life the hopes, struggles, and triumphs of generations who carried Greece in their hearts across oceans and continents.
The performance is held under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in New York, the Pancretan Association of America, the World Council of Cretans, and Cultural Crete USA.
GAEPIS and COSMOS FM expressed their deep gratitude to the Region of Crete for offering this cultural gift to the Greek-American community.
