Kimberly Guilfoyle officially assumed her duties today as the 25th United States Ambassador to Greece, presenting her credentials to President of the Hellenic Republic Constantine Tassoulas in a formal ceremony at the Presidential Mansion.

Following the presentation, President Tassoulas held a 45-minute meeting with Ambassador Guilfoyle, joined by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and the General Secretary of the Presidency, Aliki Hatzi. The discussion was described as cordial and constructive.

Ambassador Guilfoyle conveyed greetings from U.S. President Donald Trump and expressed her commitment to strengthening U.S.-Greek relations. She highlighted her personal ties to Greece through past visits and friendships with Greek-Americans, and shared her interest in learning more about the Greek Orthodox Church.

President Tassoulas addressed regional energy issues in light of the upcoming 6th Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC) Ministerial, scheduled to take place in Athens on November 6–7. He emphasized Greece’s strategic position at the crossroads of three continents and its potential as a key energy hub, noting that this advantage must not be compromised by perceived tensions with Turkiye.
