ASTORIA – GNUSA
The Pancyprian Choir of New York, under the auspices of the Cultural Division of the Pancyprian Association of America, will present its annual Christmas concert, “Kalanta,” on Saturday, December 20, at 6:00 p.m. at Saint Catherine and Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Astoria.
The Choir’s Artistic Director and conductor, Phyto Stratis, noted that the concert is “a program for the whole family, full of love and nostalgia, which sets us in the Christmas spirit just a few days before the great celebration”.
The performance will feature the 30-member Choir, joined by soloists Angeliki Psoni, Ariadni Anna, Dimitris Michael, Chrysa Patridou, and rising young talent Ioannis Livanos. A special highlight will be the participation of students from Saint Demetrios School of Astoria, along with a festive appearance by Santa Claus, who will bring surprises for the children.
Admission is $25, while children under 12 may attend free of charge.
