In the West Coast, on Sunday, March 26, the Consulate General of Greece in Los Angeles hosted a reception at St. Sophia Cathedral, followed by a screening of award winner Eleftherios Kostans’ [photo] documentary “In Support of Liberty; Philadelphia and the Greek War of Independence”. The event was held in collaboration with the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival, and with the generous support of Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Dr. James Kallins, American Hellenic Council of California, ECOS- Earth Friendly Products and Go Greek Yogurt.
During the reception, the Mayor of Glendale, Ardy Kassakhian [photo], presented to the Consul General of Greece in Los Angeles, Ioannis Stamatekos, a proclamation on behalf of the City of Glendale, CA, honoring the National Day of Greece.
